| Up to date virus protection is an absolute requirement on a corporate
network. Viruses can cause severe disruption of service in the business
environment. In a recent study it was determined that in businesses with
under 200 employees. over 70% of the participants did not have system-wide
virus protection that had been updated to block the latest viruses. Xlcon understands the importance of virus protection and keeping it updated. We will not support a network without a proper solution in place. In addition, with our remote management service, we provide weekly checks to ensure all areas of the network are receiving the latest updates. Xlcon conducted an independent study on the major virus protection software solutions in the industry (Symantec, McAfee, F-Prot, Trend Micro). The study was based on network utilization, first to market with virus signatures, stability, and cost. The overwhelming leader based on this criteria was the Trend Micro product line. Because of these results, Xlcon elected to partner with Trend Micro for virus protection solutions. There are three critical areas that administrators are faced with in protecting their network from outside virus threats. They are server-based, client-based and most importantly e-mail. The product that Xlcon recommends from Trend Micro to protect all three of these areas is Client-Server-Messaging Security. |
